Back and Neck Treatment
- Lay down against the flat open Spoonk™ mat in bed for 35 – 45 minutes.
- Use direct skin contact for the best effect, or wear a thin T-shirt if the sensation is too strong.
- Any intense sensation will dissolve after 5 minutes and the effect of the Spoonk™ deep tissue massage will start to relieve tension, stiffness or pain.
- For acute back pain, or for a stronger effect, lie on the mat on the floor and pull your knees towards the chest.
- You can also roll the mat and place it behind your neck for a neck and head massage.
Deep Sleep Treatment
- Lay in bed, against the flat open Spoonk™ mat, resting your head against a pillow.
- Use direct skin contact for the best effect, or wear a thin T-shirt if the sensation is too strong.
- Breathe deeply for the first 5 minutes to initiate a feeling of relaxation.
- When you are ready to sleep, remove your Spoonk™ mat and enjoy a deeper sleep.
- Relaxation before sleeping helps to improve the quality of sleep.
Abdomen Relaxation Treatment
- Position the Spoonk™ mat under the abdomen for 25 minutes. It is best to use a thin T-shirt.
- Regular abdominal massages help to relax the body and mind, as well as boost digestion and energy.
- You may combine this treatment with the Face Massage Treatment by using a travel size Spoonk™ at the same time (as pictured above).
Face Massage Treatment
- Position your face on the Spoonk™ mat for 5 minutes on each side. Cover your ear with a cloth.
- Indentation in your skin caused by the mat will go away within 15 minutes.
- A facial massage will increases circulation, bringing a glow to your face and stimulating the production of collagen.
Rise and Shine Treatment
- Instead of the snooze button, try lying on the Spoonk™ mat for 10 minutes.
- Stand on the Spoonk™ mat for 5-10 minutes (with socks on) while getting ready to start your day!
Travel with Spoonk™
- The travel-sized Spoonk™ mat is perfect for a neck, lower back, or foot massage.
- Roll the mat for the small of your back and use it in your desk chair at the office.

If you are or could be pregnant, have unregulated high blood pressure, suffer from any bleeding disorder, have any type of neuropathy, are on a blood thinning medication (except aspirin), or suffer from any kind of skin inflammation/infection, you should not use our acupressure mat.
