"After gaining recognition by conceptualizing, creating, and directing the J. Crew jewelry division from 2006 to 2011, Lisa “Lele” Sadoughi launched her eponymous jewelry collection in September 2012, debuting on Moda Operandi.
The Lele Sadoughi collection is an inspired line drawing reference from post-industrial age machinery, vintage jewelry, and a world infused with travel, boldness, romance and whimsy. Bright, bold shapes, genuine stones, and hand-set crystal are the foundation to Lele's pieces. Now in her fourth season, Lele Sadoughi is carried at esteemed retailers worldwide, including Intermix, Harvey Nichols, Lane Crawford, Le Bon Marché, Net-à-Porter, and dozens of global boutiques.
Lele’s passion for jewelry was cultivated during her time at Ippolita in 2005 where she began designing custom private label pieces for Neiman Marcus, Banana Republic, Anthropologie and Club Monaco. In 2006, J.Crew approached Lele to create their first jewelry collection. As the company’s first Jewelry Design Director, Lele created a successful collection season after season for five years, earning herself industry-wide credibility as a top costume jewelry designer. Lele conceptualized her own collection after leaving J.Crew and holding post as the Jewelry Design Director at Tory Burch.
Originally Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Lele now resides in the West Village neighborhood of New York City with her husband and one-year-old son. Her designs have graced the covers and inside of publications such as Vogue, InStyle, Harper's BAZAAR, Elle, Lucky, W, Interview, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, WSJ Magazine, Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times, and countless other esteemed print and online outlets.
