- Leave a glass by your nightstand and chug the moment you open your eyes. It’s a great way to wake up that metabolism and rehydrate your body.
- Lay Off The Caffeine & Alcohol
- Set Your Keurig. Set your coffee machine to time with your alarm clock, so it’s ready the moment your eyes open.
- Time your bedtime accordingly. Setting an alarm to tell you when to go to sleep. For example, if you want to go to bed around 11, you should set your alarm for 11 PM and that forces you to go into your room to turn it off—this reminds you to start getting ready for bed.
- Change Your Tune. Follow the mantra of a morning person and tell yourself you love waking up early. You’d be surprised how it actually works.
- Take Melatonin. Talk to your doc before deciding on a supplement dosage and to make sure it’s right for you. But, if your doctor gives you the green light, in just a few days your body clock should be reset and waking up early should be no problem.
- It’s not about getting eight hours. It’s about getting what you need.
In the morning:
- Spritzing your face with rosewater mist or splashing your face with cool water to revive your skin
- Apply cold spoons from the freezer over your eyes
- Apply light serum or moisturizer to your eye area and face
- Just use your fingers to add a natural flush
- Brush your eyebrows up with a spoolie brush
- Apply a small application of brightener or concealer to the inner corner of your eye
- Take supplements like seaweed pills, chlorella, melatonin and spirulina, and load up on fresh vegetable drinks from Juice It or Detox Delight (Talk to your doc before!)
- Do an hour of Pilates or Yoga to give you energy and relieve stress
During the day
1.Stick to one sleep schedule during the week and on the weekends. This lets your body know when to sleep and when to wake.
2. Stop [consuming] caffeine by 2 PM. This allows enough time to get caffeine out of your system.
3. Stop [consuming] alcohol three hours before bed. This allows enough time to get alcohol out of the system.
4. Stop exercise four hours before bed. This makes sure that you’re not to excited from your workout to sleep.
5. Get 15 minutes of sunlight each day. This helps re-set your biological rhythm.
